Snowdonia National Park was established in 1951 and is the second largest of the 11 National Parks in England and Wales. The Park covers 2,132 square km (823 square miles) and stretches from Cardigan Bay's High Water Mark in the west, to the Conwy Valley in the east and from the River Dyfi and its estuary in the south to the coast of Conwy Bay as far as Conwy in the north.

Take a ride on Britain’s highest rack railway and see the rooftop of Wales.  Starting at Llanberis Station, take the picturesque journey to the top of Mount Snowdon.  You will see a beautiful waterfall, go through an ancient forest and pass through the Rocky Valley before reaching Hafod Eryi.

Hafod Eryri is the new visitor centre on the summit of Mount Snowdon. It is uniquely designed with a ‘window on the world’ wall of glass so you can take in the view. Caffi y Copa offers hot tea and bowls of steaming cawl (a warming Welsh soup), whatever the weather. The centre also has an education centre and shop.

Electric Mountain is First Hydro Company's Visitor centre in Llanberis. Take the kids on a tour of the Dinorwig Power Station going deep inside Elidir Mountain. You will see Dinorwig's massive pump/turbines and discover how water is used to power a nation.
