Exploring the Llyn Peninsula

If you're coming to North Wales for a holiday, exploring the Llyn Peninsula is a must!  With it's unspoilt character, the Llyn Peninsula is truly breathtaking!  Stretching from it's southern coast near Criccieth up to Bardsey Island, the LLyn Peninsula is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which protects about one third of the Llyn, including it fantastic history ridden hills to it's beautiful coastline.

The villages and towns that lie within the Llyn Peninsula are known for being family friendly, and this is what brings families back year on year.  With fantastic places like Abersoch, Criccieth, Aberdaron and stretching up to Caernarfon and Bangor, there is plenty to occupy the whole family!

As well as being an Are of Outstanding Beauty, the Llyn is shrouded in history, from it's many castles that guard the coastline to it's hidden Iron age forts up in the hills.  You will find the Llyn listed on the Register of Landscapes of Outstanding Historic Interest in Wales.  Much of the surrounding area has never been touched, leaving the mind to imagine what life was like in years gone by.

If you love walking, then the Llyn Peninsula is the perfect place for you!  With 84 miles of the Wales Coastal path meandering through the Llyn, there is plenty for you to discover; here's to hoping that the weather holds out for you!

You'll find yourself for days walking along this amazing coastal path, discovering just how beautiful the Llyn Peninsula is.

If walking is not for you, but nature is, then taking a trip out to Bardsey Island is a must!  Once home to a Christian Monastery, Bardsey Island is now home to all sorts of wildlife, from grey seals to fulmers, guilemots and manx shearwaters.  You could spend hours seeing what this fantatsic Nature Reserve has to offer.

And if you're looking for the perfect place to stay, then look no further than Garreg Goch Caravan Park in Morfa Bychan.  We have everything you could possibly want to make your exploring holiday perfect.  We are ideally situated, just outside the Llyn Peninsula, close to Black Rock Sands, making us the ideal base for your holiday.
